Broken glass and sharp objects
Please ensure that sharp objects such as broken glass or sharp objects do not protrude from your wheeled bin where they might cause injury to the refuse or recycling collectors. Glass bottles accidentally broken inside wheeled bins will not cause a serious hazard and should just be covered by other recycling.
Non-recyclable sharp items should be wrapped or contained within refuse sacks inside wheelie bins. Hypodermic needles should not be disposed of in ordinary refuse bins, please contact (01903) 851729 to request a needle container as part of the Council's clinical waste service.
