Disposal of old fridges and freezers
Many retailers now offer take back schemes if you purchase a fridge or freezer with them. It is worth checking before deciding to dispose of yourself.
If you do decide to get rid of your own fridge or freezer, you can take them for disposal free of charge to Household waste recycling sites in Brighton Road, Shoreham and Dominion Way, Worthing
Chloro-Fluro-Carbons (CFCs) are then safely removed and the majority of the unit will be recycled.
